
NISHIZUKA Eiji
Nishizuka Eiji was a Japanese maki-e lacquer artist born in Wajima City, Ishikawa Prefecture. Maki-e is a lacquer decoration technique in which designs are created by sprinkling fine gold, silver or other metallic powders onto wet lacquer. He studied under his father, Seichi, and began exhibiting at the Nitten (Japan Fine Arts Exhibition) in 1969.
